What I'm thinking today and a little decorating.
Tuesday I has to stop at Walgreen's on my lunch hour to pick up a few things. Of course I have their loyalty card, or whatever it is called....don't we all have tons of those cards? I have a key ring full and a couple in my wallet too. My AARP card info is also attached to that card. I'm earning points there and only need 4000 more before I get $50.00. That could take me months or just one shopping trip. I'm not in a hurry so it doesn't matter.
Anywho I'm walking around gathering what I need and I am hearing a store greeter telling people that it's senior day, woo hoo!
When I checked out I asked the clerk if my total included the senior discount, he said "You have to ask for it". Aw come on......you know practicably everything about me, you couldn't just give it to me??? Shopko does! Lesson learned: always ask for the senior discount, the worst that can happen is they say 'no'.
I had over $50 worth of products so I saved about $5, I won't complain.
The other day I put up my Christmas banner, made with book covers. Do you know how hard it is to find Christmas book covers when you decide, at the last minute, that you need some??? I got lucky and found a new package of small clothes pins for .99. I truly believe that God puts some of my thrifty finds in front of me. It's not always craft items, often I find things my grands need.
I copied this idea from one of the blogs I follow, I thought it was on Vicky's blog, but couldn't find it there.
I'm sure the items on top will change, they're too small.
Happy (almost) Weekend!!!
I did not know that about Walgreens! I will start asking cuz I shop there all the time- xo Diana
