Even though I was up 4:30AM yesterday I did not make my usually Thursday post.....so here I am a day late.
- Our local library and senior center are showing some excellent movies free of charge. I'm not really that busy but I still have a hard time committing 2 hours to sit down and watch a movie. I never watch movies at home either. Will I go to see GRAVITY this afternoon? Will I go to see CAPTAIN PHILLIPS later in the month? Last week I watched a 'behind the scenes' about CAPTAIN PHILLIPS, it was very interesting.
- As you know I am retiring at the end of April, but I won't get a SS check until the end of June. BUT in May I am going on a bus trip to Nashville.....hmmmm....that doesn't compute well. There are several things to do right now but I have to watch my funds so I'm saying no to many things.
Here's a yummy recipe I saw on facebook and made for myself this morning.
I had everything on hand that I needed to make these, so I did. Easy, peasy!!
It's one way to use up some of that yucky white bread that was in the fridge. My grandson wanted some for his school lunch.
Linda, Retirement changes our lifes.... better have priorities in order. Get every senior discount you can. I hope you do well. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, I am so happy to meet you and thanks for visiting my blog. I see that we have many blogging sisters in common . . . I am your newest follwer and I would love to have you visit again and follow me back. Love the photo of your Red Hat meeting, you girls look wonderful. Is your trip to Nashville with that group? I can see them as being a fun group to travel with :)
ReplyDeleteHappy almost retirement; you are going to love it!
Hope to hear from you.
Your new blogging sister, Connie :)
We never get to see films either, like you say only two hours but finding them is hard!
ReplyDeleteI copied that recipe and I bet my grandgirls are gonna love it. I don't watch movies either unless I am also doing something else at the same time- like leafing through a magazine or cutting something out or crafting. lol It's a sickness! xo Diana
