Thoughts On Thursday

*I hate the loud cracking noises I hear outside at night when I am home alone (it's our deck, but it certainly sounds like someone is outside of the door).

*I have an idea for my new career in retirement............Mind Reader. I've been honing my mind reading skills at work and at home and I think I'm getting it!

*My hubby has been out of town for 3-1/2 weeks and:
the bathroom stays a little cleaner
the rest of the house gets just as messy
I have less laundry
there's more 'me' time because I only wash the dishes once a day and cooking is minimal
I'm getting tired of frozen meals
it's quieter around here.
I can't say that I don't miss Kevin but I am OK by myself. He calls me several times a week and emails when he can't call and I know he'll be back home.....in 2- 3 weeks.
I've always been rather independent.

* Winter, winter go away!!!

What are your thoughts today???

  1. Although I miss my husband, I love the quiet time. I like doing whatever I feel like without having to always take someone else into consideration...a bit selfish, I guess. I like being independent. It's when I'm at my best with creating.Today was like a breath of spring in the jaws of winter. Jacket weather, so I was outside soaking up the sun, but it is already cooling down, the wind is picking up, and the temp will be in the twenties again tonight. I try to embrace all weather optimistically. This kind of winter makes spring like a gift from the heavens. Stay warm - springs on the way...promise.

  2. You should already know what everyone's thoughts are...Ms. Mind Reader.
    LOL

I love being home alone. I never get scared when I hear a weird noise outside of my house because it's not coming from INSIDE my house.

Unless we're talking about frozen peas, corn, or ice cream, frozen food to me is nothing more than really cold chemicals wrapped in brightly colored packaging. The packaging might be pleasing to look at but the food is rarely pleasing to eat.

I would never cook, if I could get away with it. I prefer to support our local economy (yeah, that's my story and I'm sticking to it) by going to area restaurants. And some of them, though not enough of them, even deliver! (bonus!)

I would HATE for my husband to be away for as long as your husband is. But, I would like to be able to ship him off to be with your husband whenever I feel like it. I'd pack treats in his suitcase (surprise!) and plenty of them so your husband would have to agree with mine that I am one very awesome wife!
    LOL
